The Sale Botanic Gardens are arguably Gippsland's renowned public gardens and an asset to the community of Sale.
In the 165th year, the Gardens are home to thousands of plants species and over 500 different trees spread over 5 hectares on the eastern shore of Lake Guthridge.
Within the Gardens are expanses of shaded lawns, towering Redgums pre-dating colonisation, a mystic grove of elm trees, and 10 Living Collections showcasing a variety of indigenous, native and exotic plant species.
With a key role in the conservation of localised rare and threatened species, the Gardens are a place of research, education, horticultural excellence as well as being critical in the physical health and wellbeing of our community.
We invite the community to join us in shaping the gardens journey and illuminating the most cherished aspects that make the Sale Botanic Gardens are popular destination.
