We want you to have your say on how we engage!
To refresh our Community Engagement Policy and Strategy we wanted your feedback. By sharing your thoughts, you helped ensure our engagement approach outlined in the refreshed documents reflected local needs, is inclusive, accessible, and included how you want to have your say.
These documents set out how we engage with you on projects, decisions and services that impact our community. Both documents were adopted by Council and are now available on Council's website, under Policies and Strategies and Plans.
Not all Council work involves engagement but when the community can influence outcomes it is important that we hear from you. We want to ensure that engagement continues to allow better outcomes for everyone. The Policy and Strategy are two documents which guides all community engagement.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the engagement over the three-week period in May 2025. We received over 200 pieces of feedback, online and in person. The feedback we received included the community sessions, attendance at the Early Years Expo and the Volunteers Expo as well as the survey responses.
