Draft 2021/22 Budget

Wellington Shire Council has prepared a Draft Budget for the financial year commencing 1 July 2021 and ending 30 June 2022. The Draft 2021/22 Budget is available via Project Document section of this page from Tuesday 20 April to Wednesday 19 May 2021.


Budget Submission Process

Submissions will be considered in accordance with Section 96 of the Local Government Act 2020. Any person proposing to make a written submission on draft 2021/22 Budget must do so no later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 19 May 2021.

There are three options available for submissions:

  • ‍Hardcopy: Your submission should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Wellington Shire Council, 18 Desailly Street (PO BOX 506), Sale VIC 3850 and marked as DRAFT BUDGET SUBMISSION‍.
  • Online: Complete the online submission form (FORM CLOSED - 19 May 2021)
  • In Person: Attend the Special Council Meeting on Thursday 27 May 2021 from 3:00pm at the Council Chambers, Port of Sale (Wellington Centre) 70 Foster Street, Sale.

What happens next?

Council will consider any submissions in relation to the 2021/22 Budget at a Special Council Meeting on Thursday 27 May 2021. During this meeting you will have the option to attend and add a submission before Council adopt the Budget at a Council Meeting on 15 June 2021.
