Welcome to the submission portal for Council's Draft 2025/26 Budget
In this year’s budget, Council is responding to community and Council needs, to remain financially sustainable for the future. The 2025/26 budget focuses on maintaining essential services, roads and community Council-owned assets, while managing financial pressures and delivering value for money.
As we move into the final year of our current Council Plan, this budget ensures we continue to meet community expectations while adapting to the broader economic challenges facing councils across Victoria. Rising costs, reduced grant funding and the 3% rate cap set by the Victorian Government mean we’ve had to take a careful and considered approach.
Therefore, this is a practical and forward-focused budget. It supports local infrastructure, maintains the services our community relies on, and ensures Council remains in a sound financial position heading into the next four-year Council Plan.
