Draft 2023/24 Budget
Wellington Shire Council has prepared the Draft Budget for the financial year commencing 1 July 2023 and ending 30 June 2024.
The Draft 2023/24 Budget can be found in the Project Document section of this page. Consultation is open between Wednesday 19 April and 5pm Monday 8 May 2023.
Budget Submission Process
Submissions will be considered in accordance with Section 96 of the Local Government Act 2020. Any person proposing to make a written submission on the draft 2023/24 Budget must do so no later than 5pm on Monday 8 May 2023.
There are three options available for submissions:
Online: Complete the online submission form below or click here
Hardcopy: Your submission should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Wellington Shire Council, 18 Desailly Street (PO BOX 506), Sale VIC 3850 and marked as DRAFT BUDGET SUBMISSION
In Person: Attend the Special Council Meeting on Thursday 18 May 2023 from 3pm at the Council Chambers, Port of Sale (Wellington Centre) 70 Foster Street, Sale
What happens next?
Council will consider the submissions received in relation to the 2023/24 Budget at a Special Council Meeting on Thursday 18 May 2023.
During this meeting you will have the option to attend and add a submission before Council adopt the Budget at a Council Meeting on 6 June 2023.
