Wellington Alcohol and Wellbeing Survey (Ages 18+)

About this survey

We are asking people who live in Wellington Shire to share their views and experiences about alcohol use and drinking culture in our community. This includes how alcohol affects social life, health, safety, and connection with others.

Your feedback will help guide a future community project focused on supporting healthier, safer, and more connected social lives across Wellington Shire.

Alcohol is the most commonly used drug in Australia. It is linked to more illness, injuries, and deaths than any illegal drug. There is no completely “safe” level of drinking. In Wellington Shire, around 1 in 5 adults (21.7% in 2023) are considered to be at increased risk of harm from alcohol-related disease or injury.

Your choice to take part

Taking part in this survey is completely voluntary. You do not have to answer any question you are not comfortable with, and you can stop at any time.

The only required question asks which town you live in. This is so we can make sure we are only analysing responses from people who live in Wellington Shire. All other questions are optional.

Privacy and Confidentiality

All responses are anonymous. This survey does not collect names, contact details, or any information that could identify you personally. Your answers will be combined with others and used only for planning and reporting purposes.

Time commitment

The survey takes about 5 minutes to complete.
