Background

The western side of the Port of Sale does not currently have an official name, with the land currently described as 10~7\PP3468. The area proposed for naming is pictured below and is accessed from Park Street Sale, south of the Park Street bridge.

The area includes:

  • The Port of Sale boat ramp
  • The shed for the Port of Sale Boat Club
  • Carpark and open space areas

This area has recently held events such as the Sale Music Festival in 2025 and the Rainbow Road Run Colour Run in 2024 as a part of Parks Week. The Place Names Committee at Wellington Shire Council invites you to contribute your ideas for the naming of this area.
